Tips

Remove the file titled EM Extension from your Extensions folder.
This extension allows you to bring up the Extensions Manager window during startup by holding down the space bar, thus creating an easy opportunity to disable SuperLock Pro. Removing this extension will not affect the Extensions Manager control panel in any way. If you use a third-party extension manager such as Conflict Catcher®, please see the documentation accompanying the product for instructions either on how to prevent bringing it up during startup, or how to add SuperLock Pro to a list of items that must be loaded.

If you have a low-level debugger installed, remove it.
If you don't know what a low-level debugger is, then it's not something you need to worry about (it's a programmer's tool that you have to specifically install). SuperLock Pro can disable it to some degree, but an experienced user may still be able to get to it.

Remove any startup CDs or floppies that you have in the vicinity of your Mac.
Especially important if the soft lock feature is turned off, this is a good idea in any case to maximize security.

If feasible, physically secure the Mac by locking and/or removing the CD/DVD drive and/or floppy drive.
What else can we say? It maximizes security.

Use the Help text field as a mnemonic reminder of your password.
If you tend to forget your password, use the Help text field to store a pass phrase that will remind you of your password, but that others won't be able to see the significance of.

If you use Finder Item Protection, keep ResEdit and other such utilities under close guard.
Using ResEdit and similar utilities, it is possible for an experienced user to gain access to protected files. Therefore, it is recommended that such utilities be kept off of the protected machine, or protected from users using the Finder Items Protection feature itself.
