When you restart your Mac, or start it up after a previous shutdown, Client fails to launch. The result is that you're Mac is left sitting--unprotected--in the Finder or another program.

There are a few reasons why this might happen:
- The alias to Client inside the System Folder is mis-named.
- The alias to Client inside the System Folder is not working.
- The alias to Client inside the System Folder points to the wrong copy of Client.
- Ignition has been removed from your Extensions folder.
- Client is unable to launch for some reason.

The solutions to each of the above problems are, respectively:
-
Make sure that the alias is named the same as the original Client that's inside your installation folder. This name will be of the
form SuperLock x.x Pro Client, where x.x is the major and minor version number (the third stage of the
version number should not be included). For example, if you're using version 4.0.x, you should name it SuperLock 4.0 Pro Client, and if you're using version 4.5.x, you should name it SuperLock
4.5 Pro Client. Note that the name should never include " alias" on the end.
-
Try double-clicking the alias; if Client doesn't open, then you need to replace the alias. If you wish, you may create the alias
manually, but make sure that it is named precisely the same as the original (see previous solution). Alternatively, you may trash
the alias, then re-run the SuperLock Pro installer.
-
Try selecting the alias then using the Show Original command in the Finder's File menu (or in the alias's Get Info window if
you're using an older version of Mac OS). If the copy of Client that is selected is not the one in your installation folder, then
the alias is mis-linked. Begin by trashing the older version SuperLock Pro as well as the alias, then reinstall.
-
Verify that Ignition is located inside your Extensions folder (it will be listed at or near the end when you sort the files
alphabetically). If it is not, then reinstall SuperLock Pro.
-
Try double-clicking Client. If Client fails to launch, and one of the following happens:
- Client returns an "unrecoverable error" message
- Client quits and the Finder returns an error message
- Client quits with visible error
then do the following:
- If Client returns an "unrecoverable error" message, follow the directions in the message.
- If the Finder returns an error message, then e-mail us the precise message returned.
- If Client fails to launch for no visible reason, then try reinstalling SuperLock. If that does not work, then
e-mail us with as much
detail as you can.
