By locking SuperLock Pro's files on in Casady & Greene's Conflict Catcher, you can ensure that unauthorized users can't use Conflict Catcher to bypass SuperLock Pro's security.

To lock SuperLock's files in the "on" state, perform the following steps. Please note that these instructions were written to work with Conflict Catcher version 8.0.7.

  1. Open the Conflict Catcher control panel.
  2. In the item list, go through and shift-click on all SuperLock Pro components, so that a small padlock icon appears next to each component's name.
  3. Select the Preferences command from the Edit menu to open the prefs dialog.
  4. Click User Level in the list on the left.
  5. Click the Restricted radio button, and set a password when prompted.
  6. Click the OK button to save your changes.

Now, SuperLock Pro is locked into the on state, no matter what set is selected. To turn it off again, go back into the preferences and change the user level back to Normal, then go through and shift-click SuperLock Pro's components to unlock them. Because you need the password you assigned when switching to Restricted mode, only the user who locked SuperLock Pro on will be able to turn it off; we recommend this duty to the super-admin user in SuperLock Pro.

Special thanks for the essence of this tip go to SuperLock Pro user Wayne Clodfelter and Casady & Greene tech support staffer Tony Avery.
