Manifestation

When run under Mac OS 9.1, SuperLock Lite produces an "Unrecoverable Error" message at launch, after the desktop has been hidden but before the login dialog appears. You may or may not have the following message on the Clipboard:

LogFile.p:Log_KillLog:264 -- (-47) in SuperLock 4.0 Lite

You are running version 4.0 or 4.0.1 of SuperLock Lite, and version 9.1 or later of Mac OS.

Discussion

This bug is due to conflict between a change Apple made in the Mac OS between versions 9.0.4 and 9.1 and an implementation detail of SuperLock Lite.

Solution

This problem was addressed in version 4.0.2; therefore, the recommended course of action is to upgrade to version 4.0.2 or later. If this is not feasible or not possible, then a work-around is to stay with Mac OS 9.0.4 or lower.
