Manifestation

When you attempt to export the log in the Preferences, you receive an "unrecoverable error" message. You may or may not have the following message on the Clipboard:

REWNavServices.p:REWNavPutFile:217 -- (-5699) in SuperLock 4.0 Lite

You are running version 4.0.0.

Discussion

This is a known problem in version 4.0.0, relating to a bug in the Mac OS. It will only happen on Macs running Mac OS 8.5 or later, or an earlier version of the Mac OS that has the Navigation Services library installed.

Solution

A work-around for this bug was added in version 4.0.1; therefore, the recommended course of action is to upgrade to version 4.0.1 or later. If this is not possible or feasible, then you may still view the log by dragging the log file onto BBEdit or another text editor. The log is located inside your Preferences folder, and is titled, "SuperLock 4.0 Lite Log".
