Manifestation

When you attempt to export the log in the Preferences, you receive an "unrecoverable error" message. You may or may not have a message similar to the following on the Clipboard:

REWNavServices.p:REWNavFinishPutFile:322 -- (-1704) in SuperLock 4.5 Pro Admin (05/28/10, 10:29:27 AM)

You are running version 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.5, or 4.5.1.

Discussion

This is a known bug in SuperLock Pro. It will only happen on Macs running Mac OS 8.5 or later, or an earlier version of the Mac OS that has the Navigation Services library installed.

Solution

This bug will be corrected in a future version of SuperLock Pro. Until then, you may view the log by dragging the log file onto BBEdit or another text editor. The log is located inside your Preferences folder, and is titled, "SuperLock 4.0 Pro Log" or "SuperLock 4.5 Pro Log". Note that you'll first need to temporarily turn off the Protect Log File option in the Security window in Admin.
